Boot Sale Sounds launch party
Decided to add a new dimension to my blogging activites in the shape of a linked yahoo group on collecting vinyl, floppy tapes, CD's, wax cylinders etc. from boot sales, flea markets, thrift stores etc. mainly because I can't figure out how to upload music to my blog. this seeems the next best thing. new tracks from recent jumble sales uploaded now for you to download or just listen to. Mostly it's old crackly stuff that tickels me. So this week you have they Might be Giants. tex Ritter yodelling into his whiskey, lanky Spoken 'ere. and Ivor Biggun and the red hot burglars. Join via the link at the side.

Well, I could well be joining in on that one. I did have a look but it seemed a bit comnplicated. It'll have to wait until I've got a bit more time.
The weekend approacheth. Hurrah!
Have you been watching Green Wing? Something Sylvia might appreciate?
I've seen They Might Be Giants in concert many times. Very fun.
Michael...sounds like a party to me! Will have to figure the d/l part out but what a great way to hear some new, make-you-laugh music. All for it!

I was afraid I might be the only sad person on this group but thankfully a memebership of 10 so far! and growing all the time. I dont think its that complicated. having broadband does help though if you want to downlaod the files.
I always loved that single that TMBG put out a few years back that reached the lower reaches of the charts "Birdhouse of Your Soul" which is on this FLOOD record I bought, also a great rendition of Constantinople(Istanbul). I'm envious that you've seen them live . They had a Dial A Song Service I belive but dont know much about it- do you?
I just checked again and it's gone down to 9. O dear!
Michael, tried to join up...was in mood for that kind of music...but Yahoo is down now for some reason :-( Will try later.
There is a TMBG documentary. Have you seen it? It tells about their dial-a-song.
No havent seen that.Sounds like a must see doc-u-ment-u-ree!
They have afew selections streamed on their website. i should like to hear more.
