Walk Along Canal to Co-op.
This mornings walk to the canal and the park and then the Co-op to get a few bits. Plenty of foraging material - berries, plums, sloes etc. Saw some baby moorhens having a run along the canal bank and diving in. Nice cool breeze. A chance of some rain again. Rained last night - a few puddles around. Got apples and buns, plant sausages on special offer. Exciting eh?

Hazel's Birdbaths!
Celebrating Hazel's birthday with a walk round the local park and visit to the Co-op. We were going to Chester but it looked like rain. Turned out fine so we could have gone. Now planning a visit to the AiWei Wei show in Manchester. Hazel's in the garden now planting out some shrubs she got the other day. It was her sisters birthday yesterday so a joint pub lunch over in Marbury and then a wander round the garden centre.

Walk Around The Park And Co-op
This mornings walk whilst it's relatively cool to the local park and the Co-op to get a few bits. Nice cool breeze. Lots of those little brown butterflies around. Sat on our favourite bench. Very quiet. I think people are having a nice lie-in after the England v Norway match last night. We foolishly stayed up to watch it and chewed our knuckles for the last 20 minutes! Some salad stuff and drinks from the Co-op.

Blakemere Woods
This mornings walk around Blakemere Woods. Nice and cool under the shady trees. A few dog walkers seen through the foliage. Took a few photos behind trees for Allen Bukoff. Afterwards we looked round the antique emporiums but found no bargains. All a bit pricey now sadly. We have enough junk anyway!

Walk To The Park Via The Canal
This mornings walk down the road to the by-pass and then down the canal path to the Broken Cross pub. A poorly pigeon. Saw some ducks (one baby) and some coots (one baby) and some Grebes ( 2 babies?) all diving under water so hard to snap! On to the park for sit down on a bench and watch the clouds roll by. Then to the Co-op for some mushrooms.

Birthday Boy
Lovely B'day so far with tons of cards and presents and morning wandering the byways of Frodsham with Hazel Jones. No bargains to be had sadly and all that B'day money burning a hole in my pocketses. Then off to the antique emporiums of Lady Heyes to see what vinyl they had. Not much by the looks of it. Nevermind. Then to Whitegate Way for a walk and alfresco lunch under a shady tree. We took some photos for Allen Bukoff who I share a b'day with - hiding behind trees, signs and a wooden spoon! We know how to have fun!

Walk To River Dane
Nice sunny morning. Good to see the ducklings thriving. Also the heron on its nest or look-out post? No froglets but plenty of coots and ducks.

Marbury Picnic
Nice day for a picnic in Marbury Country Park. Met up with old chums Tone and Pene. Lovely walk in the bluebell woods. The sunshine really brought out all the colours. The park was packed but thankfully the woods were very quiet. Hazel put her bird app on and discovered gold cap, wren , collar doves, blue tits, great tits etc. close by. Picnic under the dappled shade of the cherry tree - the blossom landing on our sandwiches from time to time! Went to the garden centre which was also very busy. hazel bought a couple of plants and gave one to Pene and Tone. Home for tea and biscuits.

Fishy Ponds Walk
This mornings wander round the fishy ponds and Community Orchard. Hazel turned on her birdy app and she could hear a blue tit ,great tit, dunnock, gold cap, red cap, a small cream, two dozen eggs and a widget. The ducklings were grown in number too. getting very adventurous - exploring all parts of the weedy perimeters. Nice a sunny. A shield bug landed on my ear and made me jump! My photo of it wasn't appreciated.

Walk To Park
This mornings walkies to the park and the Co-op. Bumped into Richard and Sparky for a quick chat as we sat on our favourite bench watching the clouds scud by. Lost of dandelions in the park - bird sounds on the app included great tit, blackbird, dunnock and green finch. I'm sure Hazel Jones will correct me if I am wrong!

Chester
This mornings wanderings around Chester. The cathedral and the shops etc. Massive queue outside the tiny record shop. No photo sadly. The other record shop was sensible in not taking part in Record Store Day but was still busy and with two records playing at the same time was a bit much and drove me out of the shop after 5 minutes of rummaging through the world music CD section. So no bargains to be had but a few photos. Hazel went off to buy some ribbon and a tin drawer for her notebooks. We had an al fresco lunch sat at the bus stop - vege sausage roll for H. and a vege curry pasty for me.
