Birthday Boy
Lovely B'day so far with tons of cards and presents and morning wandering the byways of Frodsham with Hazel Jones. No bargains to be had sadly and all that B'day money burning a hole in my pocketses. Then off to the antique emporiums of Lady Heyes to see what vinyl they had. Not much by the looks of it. Nevermind. Then to Whitegate Way for a walk and alfresco lunch under a shady tree. We took some photos for Allen Bukoff who I share a b'day with - hiding behind trees, signs and a wooden spoon! We know how to have fun!

Whitegate Way and Boot Sale
This mornings boot sale finds at Whitegate - the last of the season sadly. I found a nice tin plate repro monkey riding a trike. Hazel found a casting from West Bromwich so reminded her of home, an old OXO tin, a collection of dice, a weird ceramic comedian with a big arse, and some number punches. Afterwards we went for a walk down Whitegate Way until we felt some drops of rain and then we came home.

Whitegate Way
Soggy walk around Whitgate after a sad rainy boot sale nearby . Only four cars selling mysterious objects under plastic sheets. Sheets whisked away as we approached to reveal sundry household items and knick-knacks beneath. Hazel bought a large decorative candle, a small bowl and glass pie crust lifter. I didn't see anything I wanted. The men at the gate were very apologetic at how sparse the field was. No matter we said - nice to come out for a walk! After a short walk between the four cars in the soggy field we went to Whitgate Way for a longer walk down the old former railway track for half a mile or so and then back again passing joggers and cyclists along the way.

Whitegate Way
Interesting fun filled day over at Whitegate Way. Bumped into one of Hazel's train buddies (when she used to travel by train that is) and had a nice chat. Then coffee and tuna sandwich at the Station House Cafe ( Hazel had a toasted tea cake ). I left a little coffee in the bottom of my cup and foolishly put Hazel's cup on top and she put the folded paper plates and serviettes inside that and pushed them down like a plunger - a jet of luke warm coffee spurted out quite alarmingly and made a lovely mess of our table! Dripped through onto my white cotten trousers - yuk! Looks like I've wet myself! O how we larfed. Then to the Hospice warehouse in Winsford to buy the bathroom cabinet that Hazel had her eye on. Also pruchased some tapestry wool and small frames. I got a bound book of 1950's National Geographics for collaging purposes.

Whitegate Way
Nice walk at Whitegate Way that we'd not been to for a while. Sadly the station cafe was closed on a Friday so didn't get the tea and cake we were looking forward to.
