Sunday Walk

Nice sunny walk despite the mud down to the River Dane and the orchard and the pond. Path blocked by a swan so we didn't venture further in case he/she hissed at us! A lone fisherman and very wet dog nearby having a nice quiet time until we came along. Home passed some daisies and other signs of Spring.

Sunday Morning Walk

Puddly walk around the local park this morning. Sloshing through the quagmire - squelching through the mudules. Lots of white blossom about. Hazel full of the joys of Spring! tra-lah!

Alsager

Nice day out in Alsager and Sandbach yesterday. Invited for lunch with old friends Tone and Pene. Went to the market in Sandbach first and got some pikelets and oatcakes. Also the charity shops for some books. I got a great one about Seriously Bad Album Covers that Hazel spotted for 99p. Hazel got a Bill Bryson book about The Body. Traffic was bad and the road we nornally use was closed so a bit of a detur to get to Alsager. Walked to the pub/bar called BOD which was in a converted bank. Delicious eggs, feta and chariso and crusty bread. Hazel had a toasted advocado and squeaky cheese sandwich. Pleasant walk in the sunshine afterwards to T&P's place via the park. Looked round more charity shops. Hazel got a dress pattern to try .

Walk To Old Warrington Road

Nice wander round the back of the local tip ( as we like to call it!) The Old Warrington Road is blocked to regular traffic - lots of walkers and dogs etc. A bit muddy so we stayed on the roadway and marveled at the green moss that looked very bright despite the grey and misty weather. Good to stretch our legs (Boinnng!) and breathe some fresh air.

Vickersway Park

This mornings walk to Vickersway Park near town. Hada walk quite a way through the grim housing estate and over the railway bridge to another grim housing estate. It made a nice change from the usual walk to the local park or the community orchard and fishy ponds which we always seem to go to. Nice to see the budgies again in their aviary. Also the exercise machines which are quite fun.

Nantwich

Nice wander around the quaint town of Nantwich this morning. Bought some quirky items from various shops and the table top sale in the thingy hall. Some mad drivers on the road - hair raising trip home! Got back unscathed thankfully.
