Visitors!
Our friends from Norway are here now after all the cleaning and tidying. So now it's all topsy turvy again with bags and clothes and food everywhere!
A strange day, mostly waiting for texts and phone calls. Hazel did some more last minute tidying and cleaning. Her back is feeling better thankfully( she twisted her shoulder moving a settee at her Mom's). Archie went on a field trip with his special cleverclogs group to the Peak District national park in Derbyshire (or is it Yorkshire?). Anyway, he seemed to have enjoyed it and took lots of small films on my old digital camera which I gave him.
Esther and kids (from Norway) drove from Scarborough, stopping off at Castle Howard and the village where Heartbeat is filmed. Heartbeat is very popular in Norway apparently!]
They eventually got here at 8 in the evening and managed to park their big people carrier on the front of Mrs.Mather's. Lucky because the road was full up and no more parking spaces.

Sounds busy but in the best kind of way! Can't believe June is over already...Jonathan seem to keep meeting each other coming and going but a nice weekend together planned. Give Hazel a hello...her show looked impressive from the catalogue! Take care all!
We are trying our hardest to entertain our guests Syl. We dont have many so forget that people often have different time scale to us. Its fun though. Not sure what we are doing today. They are going swimming I think so an oppertunity for me to stay at home and catch up with mail and watch the England v Portugal match later. Fingers crossed!
Finger crossing is very over-rated isn't it? Nevermind, theres always four years time.
Tough about the game...wonder who the final 2 teams will be. Back home now...never get to see enough of the coast! Jon made stone cities while I lazed in the water...he is NOT a water-person
:-((! Thanks again for the mailart...forgot how much I light up when I see one of your envelopes! Take care & hi to all.
France and Germany is my bet. Sounds like a nice little trip. We wish we were by the sea right now with all this humidity- phew! Hazel and Archie are outside at 10-15p.m. watching a small bat fly around catching insects. The kids are getting ready for bed- theyve had a long day in Chester.
I reckon it'll be Italy and France.
Okay... okay... it's several days later and I already know it's Italy and France.
We wuz robbed.
The Portugese were a team of cheats!
I think it will be Transylvania and Outer Mongolia. What they lack in skill they make up for in national dress and having a yak in goal.
