Tattenhall

Nice sunny day for a trip out to Tattenhall and environs to see Beth and Simon. Drove to the antique place but no bargains. The cafe there seemed a bit chilly and uninviting so Beth suggested the Poffee place behind the post office in Burmurdsley? Lovely tea garden at back with glorious views of the Cheshire countryside. Deliciuos toasted brie on ciabatta with roasted vine toms that spit juice everywhere when you peirced them with a fork! Also wandered around the village to see the little church and graveyard. Back down the scary Corkscrew Lane - luckliy a tractor was in front and cleared the way for us.

Tattenhall and Post Office

A ride over to Tattenhall via the scary Corkscrew Lane to visit old chums Simon and Beth. Went for a drive with them to a nearby village to post a parcel and have a little walk. Sat in car and used handy binoculars to spot a wind farm in the far distance. The pillar box outside the post office had a knitted hat with a pheasant on top ( or was it a pigeon?).

Tattenhall

Nice day over at tattenhall near Chester visting our old neighbour Beth and taking back the dolls house gallery we borrowed for the Curious Things exhibition at Special Collections in Manchester 3 years ago! Nice wander around the town/village and the local antique shop. Found a rare copy of Charlie Gillett's book "Making Tracks" - perfect holiday reading! Had fish and chips from local chippy.Ate it in Beth and Simon's garden. Lovely sunny but breezy day. I had to keep hold of my hat!

Tattenhall

Gosh we are being sociable this week! Making up for the last two years being stuck at home. Popped over to Tattenhall to see our friend Beth for a walk about the village and a vege burger lunch from a take-away place. Also the crafty/artisan mini market at the sports hall. Nice sunny day for a drive down Corkscrew lane and other windy roads of Cheshire.

Tattenhall

Escaped the house for a few hours over to Tattenhall near Chester to visit old chums Beth and Simon who just moved there. The Sat nav took us a wiggly route through Corkscrew Road and Bendy Lane - passed lots of daffodils blooming nodding waving etc. by the roadside. Lots of quaint houses and cottages. Went for a nice cheese and onion toastie in the posh cafe in the town (more of a village?) . Some lovely old shops and pubs including one called The Letters Inn with a red pillar box depicted on the sign.
