Archie's Birthday

Our little boy was 32 yestrday so much rejoicing and a lovely pub lunch over in Delamere. Later at home some delicious Guinness cake that Meriel made.

Hippy Birdbaths To Me!

Nice day for a birthday pub lunch with friends. Sat outside at the Golden Pheasant in Plumley. The spicey tofu burger was very nice with fries. Half a pint of bitter. With old chums Tone and Pene. Hazel too of course. Then back to our back garden for the delicious choc cake that Hazel made. Cherries and a leaf bug that wandered about the table inspecting our crumbs.

Plumley Walk and Pub Lunch

Nice pub lunch and walk around Plumley. Spotted a few snowdrops, daffs and buds down the country lanes. Hazel took this one in a convex mirror nailed to a tree. The mirror was nailed to the tree not Hazel. Post Valentines treat paid for by Hazel's Mom. Delicious fish and chips in the Golden Pheasant (Hazel had a plant burger ) and half of bitter. Going to collapse on the sofa now and nod off!

Shackerley Mere

Pleasant wander round Shackerley Mere on Friday before a pub lunch in the nearby hostelry - a late celebration of our 39th anniversary. Sadly the seafood chowder was off the menu so we plumped for the seafood platter which we shared. Freindly pub with nice atmosphere . Not too crowded. A bit pricey but then all pubs are these days.

Pub Lunch

A late birthday celebration with old cums Tony and Pene - a nice pub lunch at the Salt Barge by the Trent & Mersey Canal. Went for a pleasant wander down the tow path afterwards to walk off the fish, chips and local brew. Then back to the pub to see what the football score was. When we left England were winning 2-0 against Panama but on our return, 50 minutes later it was 6 - 1 to England. Not really that much excitement in the beer garden though. We came back to ours for some birthday cake and tea in the back garden. A friendly robin had a bath nearby in the old weighing scales. Very warm!
