A Walk On The Wild Side

Yesterdays wander down the "conk conk" path near us after dropping off my prescription form in that little post box at the group practice. It's a bit grim and grotty round the back of the dump yards but not without it's certain charms and we spotted a squirrel dodge behind that stump of a tree. That land seems earmarked for yet another hastily considered housing estate ( little boxes made of ticky-tacky as the old song goes ). We went through the small park and avoided all the dog poos. Hazel wanted some sparklers for New Years but the dodgy garage man who sells fireworks down the back alley said they were like "Hen's teeth". All due , he said seriously, to Covid, Brexit, the high price of oil and that ship that got stuck in the Suez canal.
