This mornings browsing round the local antique emporiums looking at all the stuff we couldn't afford and had no room for anyway. Hazel bought a wooden file box to store her notebooks in for £15 ( haggled down from £20). Home in time for lunch.
I’m glad we collected when we did because everything seems so expensive. We have two cabinets in an antique mall for all the things we unearthed in the move and have been selling loads!
Yes, we've noticed how prices have risen for most things - mainly due to the price of electricity and gas going sky high! All passed onto the customer of course. Thankfully we have enough and trying to de-clutter most of the time. We have a cull every now and again and take stuff to charity shops etc.
A kind of diary, a log, a ramble, nothing to do with the Flowerpot Men. My life as an artist, a collagist, a rubber stamper, a networker, a collector of all sorts , a letter writer and a postcard maker. Observations about this and that in no particular order.
I grew up in the home counties around London during the 50's and 60's. Went to several art schools including Southend ,Chelsea and Manchester. Trained as a painter and printmaker but now mostly using collage. Collect postcards and old mail art amongst other things too numerous to mention.
