But life at home is an awful muddle at the moment. Moving offices (ie from an upstairs room to a downstairs one) - trying to find time to start on the new CD, find a home for the two roosters and prepare for Jill's Canadian relatives arriving at the weekend... not to mention writing. It's all a bit much.

But, nevertheless - onwards we will go. BTW I didn't actually buy a pixie hat for myself. Maybe I'll make my own.

XXXRoger Stevenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08393920954647379508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7643791.post-1155019478435495972006-08-08T07:44:00.000+01:002006-08-08T07:44:00.000+01:00Quite a few film clip at You Tube of Frank from di...Quite a few film clip at You Tube of Frank from different eras and qualities. Frank had quite few scrapes on stage it seems - once in the U.K. he fell off the stage ( or was he pushed?) and was in a wheelchair for weeks.
I'd like to see a photo of Roger in a kaftan and Pixie hat too. Something very similar at his Flickr stream I seem to remember. When are you going to post some more Roger?Wastedpapiershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06833050707322694789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7643791.post-1154995843101671552006-08-08T01:10:00.000+01:002006-08-08T01:10:00.000+01:00THANK YOU...Michael... brilliant, that.Zappa was, ...THANK YOU...
Michael... brilliant, that.
Zappa was, surely ahead of his time.
I was lucky enough to see him, 3-4 times live. Once in a big arena in Buffalo, another time for a TV interview (I was in the live audience) and a couple of smaller venues in Boston. ALWAYS put on a GREAT show.
One show in Boston... I think at the Orpheum Theatre, the lighting rig crashed down on the stage... the band kept playing. Frank backed up to protect himself... but the band kept going.Jonathanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07929803175840891199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7643791.post-1154995733682868242006-08-08T01:08:00.000+01:002006-08-08T01:08:00.000+01:00Great video clip, Michael...even went on to part 2...Great video clip, Michael...even went on to part 2. Glad the festival of Rhythym was fun. Stepping back into the early 60's now with a clip pf a very younf Frank Zappa on the Steve Allen Show playing a bicycle! He used to direct everyone with barely percievable gestures - the nod of an eyebrow... that sort of thing.

Had fun at the festival. It was the first Rhythm Festival ever and we enjoyed it. A bit like stepping back into the sixties and seventies. Most of the audience stepped back with us and then proceeded to dress up in sixties and seventies clothes. Very weird - fifty year old accountants in kaftans and pixie hats.Roger Stevenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08393920954647379508noreply@blogger.com
