All Hallows Eve

Here's that box lid I made a few years back in homage to mexican illustrator of Day Of The Dead - J.G. Posada. It seems appropriate for Halloween. Archie has been busy carving pumpkins again with my help. We did two small ones today to put in the window and light later. Now he's putting the finishing touches to a Guy Fawkes effigy he's made from dozens of toilet roll tubes and cartons. the head is a papier mache stuck to a balloon with streamer hair.
No school today - one extra day of half term. We have a stack of sweets for the kids who arrive. Archie is dressing up as DEATH again with a cowl and sythe and voice changer gizmo that makes him sound like Darth Vadar with a bad cold! He's going round with Thomas from over the road I think like they did last year.

Homage to J.G.Posada Box

"Death" is always a good choice of costume... although, I'm guessing that mortality is a distant concept for a young teen. Me... I like pirates...

Yes, it must be . I certainly thought I would live forever when I was 13 and at 21 we thought we could change the world! Ha ha! What fools these mortals be!
No pirates last night but plenty of ghosts, vampires, wiches etc. hazel took a few photos but i didnt. Its considered rather dubious practice now over here to take photos of children without the parents consent. Even the schools don't allow it at sports days and concerts! Crazy!

Wow! Those rubber stamps are absolutely gorgeous! Truly, you should sell those, but I'm guessing that with all the hard work that goes into them, the selling price would never be enough.

No trick or treaters in our neighborhood, unless turning tricks counts.

None here either. Too far out in the country I think.

I've tried to sell them in the past but sadly not much interest. The price was a bit steep what with gallery commission etc. Perhaps i should try eBay.

Yes, must be a bit unnerving to answer the door to a masked midget at night in the middle of the country!

They would sell for sure on eBay, but if you list them, make sure your opening bid price is one you can live with (don't start them too low...) --ed
